This limited edition print shows shops on Steep Hill from the junction of Steep Hill and Danesgate looking down towards the Strait which was the Jewish quarter in Medieval times. Steep Hill has existed in Lincoln since Roman times, during the Middle Ages Steep Hill was a bustling street market which developed into shops selling produce for local residents. In more recent times these shops cater more for the needs of visitors and tourists.
